In 1998, long before the term "managed services" was an industry buzzword, our company
identified that if you only had customer contact when they were experiencing troubles,
you'd mainly be talking to unhappy customers. Furthermore, if each time a customer
had troubles, the service provider got to bill them by the hour, where was the incentive
to make that customer's network trouble-free? There had to be a better way. We set
out to align our customer’s goals with our own. Our customers wanted trouble-free
networks and affordable support. We wanted happy customers. And so, we began to
develop our program. Our first four customers were on-board by 1999...the rest is
managed services history.
