    WatchGuard Fireware XTM Advanced Course

    Pre-requisite

    Before attending the class, you should have attended the WatchGuard Firewall Basics or WatchGuard Firewall XTM Basics class or possess the equivalent knowledge.

    Duration

    Two days.

    Materials

    Participants receive student course guides, which include training materials presented during the class as well as hands-on lab exercises used in the course.

    Course Overview

    Specific topics covered in this course include:

    • Active Directory Authentication
      Restricting Access with AD users and groups. Covers authenticating users on the external network to manage the Firebox and using AD to authenticate MUVPN clients.
    • Multi-WAN Methods
      The use of the multi-WAN feature in Fireware and Fireware Pro. Students examine the purpose and uses of multi-WAN, sticky connections, and learn about the four different routing modes of operation.
    • VLAN Training
      The concept of a virtual local area network (VLAN) in Fireware and describes several different VLAN technologies that are in use today. You will learn everything necessary to successfully deploy VLANs with your Firebox.
    • VPN Training
      How to create Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) between multiple locations using Fireware. Students also learn about creating VPNs in a Multi-WAN environment, and about VPN failover.
    • Firebox X Edge
      Students learn to install configure the WatchGuard Firebox X Edge.

    Class cost is $1,795.00. Seats are reserved with a $500.00 deposit and full payment must be made 10 days in advance of class. You may pay by ACH(taking your check over the phone), credit card or Corporate Check.

    Cancellation Policy: Classes canceled 10 days prior to class are not subject to any penalty and full refund of payments will be issued. No refunds will be issued for classes canceled or changed less than 10 days prior to class. You can sign up for a future class for a 30% rescheduling fee. If we cancel training, our sole limit of liability will be to refund all training class payments paid to SLPowers plus a $ 75.00 fee to help offset airline rescheduling.
